Before + After // Client Oh Hi Ojai

February 16, 2017

HEY!  It’s BEFORE + AFTER time!!! I know I’ve been adding a ton of spoilers to of , but the real deal is finally here and it’s about GD time. This house has been my EVERYTHING for the past year and I’m so thrilled for it’s debut. I can not say enough great things about this family. Besides being cool, and cute as ever, they were direct and clear in their vision for the home.. Make it feel cozy, and collected, and warm….and help us with this awful layout!! We were lucky enough to work with the incredible Architectural Design Studio, , out of Venice, CA. Plus, the project moved along swiftly thanks to Ojai’s own, . Talk about DREAM TEAM!! I couldn’t of picked em better myself! So before I blow a gasket with excitement….are you ready for my BEST Before//After to date people!?

  1. This is SO incredible!!! The new kitchen layout is amazing and looks huge given the footprint. I would love to see a blog post on just the kitchen design process and also to see a pic of where the refrigerator was placed. Not only is the design just amazing, but the house is in beautiful Ojai and has a copper tub! Life goals for bringing heaven to earth!! Bravo to you and your team.

  2. Wow, stunner! So much to say. Love the kitchen – raising the ceiling made all. the. difference. The original brick in the living room is a visual surprise but it works. Camelback sofa is a nice addition – you so rarely see them being used anymore. And, that coffee table . Love that you removed the beams in the family room. It makes the ceiling appear so much higher! I’ll take the copper freestanding tub, thanks Is it sealed or will it patina? So gorgeous. Oh, and I like that you mixed metals throughout. Keeps it from feeling too matchy-matchy. I think that’s it for now. Such a beauty – nice work!

  3. I love every single detail of this remodel. It is a perfect representation of old/new, hard/soft. Thank you for the inspiration. Our 70’s split level wants to be this house when it grows up.

  4. Just beautiful – love the vibe! As a ranch house enthusiast I can’t help wondering if the exterior got a major update, too. Here’s hoping that the architect or builder put it online 🙂

  5. This is such a beautiful transformation! You are amazingly talented and your work is always so inspiring. This project blends patterns, metals, textures, antiques and modern design together into a cohesive, warm, fun and comfortable style that is truly impressive! Thanks for sharing!

  6. This is just fabulous. Question … did all the stained woodwork have to be scraped or just primed to be able to paint it white? This is a problem with older homes. What is your counsel?
Thank you … and thank you for the inspiration.

  7. Love your work, you always manage the calm yet colorful vibe! Anyone know the link to the kitchen black pulls ? I noticed you have th in your own kitchen as well . 😉 thanks in advance!

  8. Wow! Simply amazing. You do it so well, you make it look easy. I can only imagine the number of decisions you and your team must have made. You are the pros. Love your work and have looked for you since I saw you featured in Sunset magazine a few years ago.
